Dear friends in Christ Jesus, our Risen Lord and Savior,
"I am the Resurrection and the Life," declares the Lord. Death could not hold Him; therefore those of us who are Baptized into Him will also go from life to life.
It is with terrible sadness that I write to you today to share the news that Tammy Pethan was suddenly and without any forewarning called from this life to the life eternal this morning, July 7. I know that this news comes to you quite unexpectedly. After all, Tammy had just been in church on Sunday and was looking forward to VBS starting today! Yet, but by the grace of God, there go you and I.
As we grieve our loss of our sister in Christ, co-worker, wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, community organizer extraordinaire, and so much more, let us do so as the Lord intended - within the fellowship of the church. There we can share one another's burdens, lift one another up, and turn our weeping into hope through the good news of the Gospel.
Please join one another at one of the visitations, the service, and as you can, the meal following. Here are the arrangements as they stand now. A full obituary will be published on Wieting's website.
Visitation: Sunday, July 13, 4:00 - 7:00 PM, Wieting Funeral Home, 411 W. Main, Chilton, AND 9:30 - 11:00 AM, St. Martin.
Funeral Service: Monday, July 14, 11:30 AM. Lunch to be served immediately following the service.
Thank you for sharing words and expressions of comfort with Mike and his family as well as one another.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Thomas K. Schmitt
